Théâtre du Voyageur

Literally “The Theatre of the Traveller”, the company was created in 1991 by Chantal Melior, actress and director.

Since 1992, the Theatre du Voyageur is devoted to a specifically theatrical repertory but also to a repertory mixing literary texts and scientific, philosophical texts…

Such diversity enabled the company to evolve in spaces traditionally dedicated to theatre as well as other places, undertaking new experiments in museums, patrimonial sites, train stations and trains, meeting its public in the most peculiar places, whilst maintaining a special link with scientific circles, at the crossroads of several cultural fields.

About twenty people - dancers, musicians, singers, scenographer, lighting engineer and decorator - form the Théâtre du Voyageur’s company.
